'Every Street That We Knew' is pretty much a classic break up song that could be paired with 'Kelpie' (released on the 45T, Rêveries, by Os Noctàmbulos in April 2021 by Slice Of Wax Records). A case of wrong time, wrong place. It was recorded in a couple of hours on a Yamaha 8 Track Cassette in Danny Kendrick's cave in Colonel Fabien, Paris. We ran through the song a few times and I think this is the 3rd take, Danny had never heard the song before and nails the drums, which were recorded with one microphone! Danny plays the amazing soul bass line too! I did a ghost track for the voice just so we could see how it would fit in the mix. I tried 3 separate guitar parts, none of which were any good. When we left the cave we weren't so happy with our work and thought about re-recording the song but when he sent it to me later that night I couldn't believe how good it sounded, it wasn't even mixed. We left the 3 guitar tracks play at the same time by accident and somehow all of them worked together. Unfortunately, Danny's computer broke later and we lost all the recordings so what you hear on the record is that unmixed demo version. J.B. Amann recorded his beautiful backing vocals at his house and with Paul Trigoulet we added them to the demo. Around half the songs on Communication Problems involve lost files and unmixed demos.
